Personal Message: I am motivated to help students develop a sense of belonging at school so that they take risks, set goals and feel valued as they embrace learning. It is my role to provide the support and challenge required for students to achieve success at school and beyond the classroom. I pride myself on building respectful relationships with both students, parents and staff so we can work together to ensure that children are at the centre of all we do.

Area of Responsibility: Literacy

Professional Experience and Qualifications: I have been teaching at St John Bosco Catholic Primary School Engadine since 2017. Prior to this, I was Numeracy and Well-being Coordinator at Sacred Heart Cabramatta and taught at St Mary’s Star of the Sea Hurstville and in London, England where I lived for eighteen months.

I hold a Bachelor of Education (Primary) from Sydney University and a Certificate of Religious Education from Australian Catholic University. In 2017, I was awarded a World Teachers’ Day Award for outstanding contributions to the teaching profession.

Professional Interests: Understanding curriculum with a particular passion for English and Mathematics. Using EAL/D pedagogy across the curriculum and to foster a love of reading in the classroom. Encouraging students to show initiative and perseverance as they problem-solve in a range of learning and social situations.
